NETERA was founded in Cairo in 2024 to make watches the way the city’s builders made monuments: patiently, precisely, and for a very long time.

Architecture & design
Built like architecture.
The pyramids, the temple columns of Luxor and the limestone facades of downtown Cairo share an idea: that order and proportion are what make a structure feel permanent.
We bring that idea to a 40 mm case. The coin-edge bezel echoes a fluted column; the dial’s fine sunray recalls light falling across carved stone; the bracelet tapers like a colonnade in perspective. Nothing is copied — everything is translated.
The name & the mark
What NETERA means to us.
The name NETERA is our own invention. It is inspired by neter, an ancient Egyptian word associated with nature and the divine order of things — the sense that the world runs on rhythms larger than ourselves. We use it as an idea, not a claim: a watch is a small instrument for living inside those rhythms.
The emblem draws two interlocking peaks and a celestial marker. Read one way, it is the pyramids at Giza with the sun above them; read another, it is two lines of time meeting at a single point.

Craftsmanship & philosophy
Three principles.

Proportion before ornament
Every NETERA begins with a ratio, not a motif. Bezel, dial and lugs are drawn from the same geometry, so the watch feels calm before it feels decorated.

Light as a material
Our dials are designed for the warm, raking light of Cairo — sunray finishes that move from ivory to gold as the day turns.

Heritage, quietly
Egypt’s architecture informs our forms, but we never quote it literally. No hieroglyphs on the dial; only the discipline of a civilisation that built to last.

Founded in Cairo
NETERA is established as a small design studio in Zamalek with a single brief: an Egyptian watch defined by proportion rather than ornament.
- 2024
The first sketch
The Origin dial is drawn around the ratio of a pyramid’s base to its height — the proportion that still sets every bezel in the collection.
- 2025
Origin & the chest
Prototypes of Origin and its presentation chest are refined over a year of revisions to the dial colour, the bezel edge and the winged emblem.
- 2025
River & stone
Nile and Limestone extend the collection with cooler, everyday interpretations of the same 40 mm architecture.
- 2026
Sky, desert, city
Astra, Dune and Nocturne complete the six-piece collection: a night sky, the Western Desert and Cairo after dark.
- 2026
A digital flagship
This website opens as NETERA’s first flagship — a place to take the watch apart, piece by piece, before it is ever held.
